Could a bad pcm cause o2 problems?

Only a few specific problems. Some heater codes are produced by burned-out drivers in PCMs but in general, no.

Remember the codes only tell what part is *complaining* and not what part is responsible for it. O2 sensor codes are the poster child for that. I have never personally seen an O2 sensor code that was caused by an O2 sensor.

The fuel, coolant leak, or other contamination.

A harness short, a connector issue, are all more likely.

Getting the appropriate tests before replacement is best.

The pinpoint tests for the O2 or HEGO include the tests

to be certain you are installing any sensor into a trusted connector, your brain is not dead, or shorted.

Think of the O2 sensors as the messenger, they set code so you can diagnose, your air/fuel problems properly...if you don't post that message P#

###, nobody can help you and toss in what or if you have a drivablity, or idle issue....

good luck

Since you don't even list the vehicle specs. size of motor, mileage and codes you have I'm betting you waste a bunch of money trying to play mechanic! What you going to do next? Replace the computer? LMAO!! Go find a master mechanic to diagnose your problem before you have more money invested in your trouble than it's worth!

Ill bet that you have a P0133 or similar code showing and after replacing the 02 sensor it still has not cleared. What are you driving?

More likely to be the other way around. Why not tell what the problem is rather then just ask a limited question like this one?

i replaced the same o2 sensor twice and i still have the same code coming up

the computer should not be able to create an issue but it can detect one.
