Cleaning foggy car headlights?

Can I use NON-ACETONE Nail Polish Remover on my headlights to clean my foggy headlights?

Is this safe?

Why not just use the headlight cleaning kits sold a auto parts stores? They have the materials and like a rough, medium and fine rubbing pad and sealant. May cost more, but might work better. Or like the other guy said use toothpaste.

It won't work.

You need a headlamp restorer if they are acrylic headlamps.

Most are abrasive kits.

There is one called Pittman Original 1 step ALR

if you can find it that works chemically.

Just use toothpaste, it works really good and its not bad for your head lights!

Cody said toothpaste. It does work.

And your headlights will smell minty fresh.
