There is little possibility the trans would loose all gears at one time, that is unless the torque convert let go. So lets just take a look under the vehicle when it is in drive with the brake set and see if the driveline is turning, it may be a broken axle. If it is four wheel drive the transfer could be out of gear or the belt could be broken. There are other things then the trans to look at you know.
Check around the transmission for a vacuum tube that connects to the intake manifold (if one exists on this transmission it could cause similar issues). It would be a black rubber hose connection from a steel hose connection that looks like it come from the transmission center from under the firewall. Check for cracks too if you find it and it is still connected
im sorry man but to me it sounds like your transmission is bad and transmission for automatic cars are expensive i do advice to go to a junk yard and you can possibly get it for cheap over there
It is called a tow truck and take it to a transmission shop. It may be an adjustment or a piece of bushing is missing. Usually made out of plastic these days(though it could also be brass) Your gear teeth are just missing each other by a c---hair. But that is enough.
There is many reason why. It should be the torque converter that went out.
2001 Chevy Blazer will not change out of neutral,
The column gear shift will move but it has no effect on changing gears, it's like just moving something that doesn't work.
The Vehicle does crank in "Neutral"
Any ideas what it is?
I have took out the battery & stuck in back in and it didn't reset it like some said it would so i need some answers..
Thanks.
