I would lean towards checking the stabilizer bar bushings and the end links.Yes worn out struts are possible too, for just the up and down noise. Front CV axles will make a clicking noise usually when turning corners if they are worn out.
accelleration and a turn that pops can be an outer cv, but hitting a bump and or turning and parking maneuvers can be simply trapped stones kicked up on a gravel or dirt road are trapped.
The strut spring can clash against it during those maneuvers.
The lower control arm can grind one into the body or subframe as it tries to wedge itself.
and they have to fix it for free or they are bad.
The heat shield around the catalytic converter may be dragging or the *flex-joint between the exhaust manifold and converter may have come apart.
Control arm bushings worn out.
Hi so why not take it in to a lexus dealer for some advice.
CV joints are going bad. Front driveshafts need replaced.
I have a 01 Lexus is300. I noticed at parking lot speeds, if I hit a small bump or if I turn the wheel all the way to get into a parking spot, I heard pop noise. Kinda sounds like metal clanking together. It does sound like its coming from the front suspension. Do you think its worn out ball joints? The car drives totally fine at higher speeds and is very smooth like nothing is wrong. What do you think?
