Alternatively:
Check the coolant levels.
Check for leaks in the system.
Check the water pump is operational.
Check for possible blockage in the system.
If all above fails set the car alight and claim insurance.
Or:
Open the car window.
Put on the aircon (if your car has one as standard)
If that fails, lower the roof if you have a convertable, or cut the roof off if not convertable.

Blown head gasket ? Cracked head ? Leaking water pump or radiator ?
Running a car hot can ruin the motor. Pull over RIGHT AWAY when the light goes on.
Happened to me a few years ago. I had a water pump with a slow leak that I never noticed. Leaked out of anti-freeze. Ran hot and I pulled over as soon as I could which was about a 1/2 mile and I added water. Then had the water pump replaced and that solved my issue.
If I would have driven it longer, I could have ruined the engine.
Seriously, when was the last time that your cooling system was drained, flushed and CLEANED by the dealer of the car.
Is the radiator filled to the top when the motor is stone cold? Is the plastic coolant recovery filled 3/4 full when the engine is cold? Does the electrical cooling fans switch on when the dash temperature reached 212 degrees?
there are few thing that could possibly heat your car engine.first you must check the water levels in the radiator.if the water level going down quickly then theres a water leak in somwhere of the engine and that must be radiator horses of radiator or in the water pump.if the water coming up from the radiator quickly with oil then possibly your gasket has gone.if the radiator things are ok then look for the radiator fan working properly.if its working properly then put the fan to direct mode so its running everytime with the engine so theres no more heating probloms.if theres no problom in those things then check the thermoset valve of the engine because in the correct temperature if the valve is not opening the water cant go to inside of the engine.so engine starts to overheat.find the prob correctly and fix. good luck! :)
Open the windows or turn on the air conditioner. How about some details.....??
chillin inside it with a few friends
