Car Leaks Only at Night?

My guess, there is still engine oil on the outside of the engine from the spill. When this is cold, it's sticky and stays there. When the engine is warm from driving it's thinner, and some drips off on the driveway.

Keep an eye on the oil level to make sure there isn't a real leak, and if it doesn't stop dripping in a week or so, get it checked again.

Hi,

If your vehicle is a Ford, I recommend taking it your local Ford Dealer to be diagnosed. Our certified technicians will be glad to take a look at your oil leak concern and answer any inquiries.

Left over oil residue will only last a day or two. If your car is still leaking 3+ days later, you have a mechanical issue.

You need to get the engine steam cleaned, so you have a chance of seeing where the oil is coming out of

I’ve noticed that there was oil leaking in my driveway, so I took my car in the shop last week to see what the problem was. They asked if I had my oil changed recently. I did take my car in for an oil change a few days before this. They said the leaking was from whoever pulled the oil filter out. Oil got all over the car engine. What they did was cleaned the area that was covered in oil from the oil change. They also said they checked the rest of the car and saw no leaks or problems with the vehicle. Well lately I have still been seeing oil leaking from my car. It only happens during the night when my car has been off for a while. Should I be concerned about this, or is this this something that was still caused by the oil change?
