Can u jump start a riding mower with a car?

And if so how both are 12 v

I would do this, start the car, connect the cables, let run for 5 minutes, turn car off, disconnect cables, then try to start mower. Other way is, with car off, connect cables, wait 30 seconds try to start mower.

It depends on the car, if it is newer then I would not risk it. Just take the battery to auto parts store and see if they can charge it for like an hour, should be be good enough. Or does anyone around you have an plug in charger. Is common for people who have tractors, quads, motorcycles, etc.

The riding mower starter does not need much amperage. Therefore you do not need the cars charging system working. Jump mower with car off. Otherwise you could burn wiring on your mower. Make sure you connect jumper cables correctly.

Yes. Jumper cables work the same on any size of 12 volt battery.

But it is risky to jump start a car or a riding mower.

What happens when you get the engine started and the battery is still dead?

The alternator will try to charge it up, but no alternator is built to charge up a totally dead battery.

Odds are you will ruin the charging system.

Charging systems should essentially last forever.

Ever wonder why so many people end up replacing their alternator?

With jumper cables, how the 'ell else would you do it?

Yep. Just hook + to + and - to -.
