Can i use the same head bolts?

These are stretch bolts.

Measure the shaft length. New they are 6.299 in. If over 6.437 they cannot be reused.

Scotchbrite pads are NOT acceptable.

Get this head STEAM CLEANED and examined for STRAIGHTNESS FIRST! They will put it in a KILN and stretch it BACK into shape for you! You CAR e\reuse the head bolts, YES! Be sure the block is nice and clean and lightly go over the edges with SCOTCH BRITE PAD and GUMOUT or BRAKE CLEANER! This will insure a good seela! WHAT HAPPENED tothsi engienanywqya\ays. Did it OVERHEAT! YOu must use only PROPER OILS and genuine BENZ YELLOW COOLANT As well! NO PRESTONE EVER! Use new BOSCH or DENSO IRIDIUM PLUGS for more power and economy as well ! GOOD LUCK TO YOU! Have repaired MANY head gaskets but RARELY on a BENZ engine! While you are THERE be sure that your IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE and THROTTLE BODY are SHOWROOM CLEAN as well! I usually POWER WASH an engine before I work on it! BYE NOW!

Possible cracked block, the head gasket or a cracked head would usually leave you with oil in the radiator.

Oil journal = 50 psi, radiator and block cooling jacket = 15 psi. Logic, the oil always wins the crack fight.

It would behoove you to loan out a head plate and pressure test the block cooling jacket for block leaks.

The bolts are the least of your worries.

I wouldn't be afraid to reuse them. There is a possibility that you are getting water in your oil from another source rather than the head gasket.

forgot to use thread sealer on bolts and chance holes with tap . did you get head magnfulx for cracks and check for a straight deck with a straight edge and use high tack gasket spray on head gasket need to do theirs things when installing's a head , may got lucky if done before with no problem

If they are TTY ( torque to yield) I would not reuse them because the would be stretched already.

so i replaced my head gasket on my 95 mercedes e320, but i found that there is still water mixing with the oil, i took the head off again today to try and locate the problem, my question is do i need to get a new set of head bolts? the head bolts on right now are brand new and were only torqued on the head for 2 days. would they have stretched by now? or are they still good considering they are brand new
