I have a set of special sockets that will take just about any car/van locking wheel nut of.
Downside is it destroys them so you better have the original bolts!
Or try a car sales/repair shop.
one thing you can be sure of is if you buy a car in there's never the lock nut tool anywhere in the car!
Ohh that makes me angry just thinking about it.
But before you do look again,
I've found them everywhere customers cars,
ash trays/don't forget the back seat ones,
the pockets on the rear of the front seats, under the seats,
it goes on and on.
You get a car in for brake work and ask "where's the wheel nut tool?" only to be met with a blank look!
Which is why a bought the special sockets.
They can but will only do the wheel with a puncture. Any decent garage can do this but you MUST have a new set if wheel nuts first.
You need some special sockets and an air air wheel nut gun.
This wrecks the nuts but not the wheel.
My local garage has not been beaten yet.
Yes they can but so can most garages. The nuts or bolts are not any use afterwards
No. A locksmith will get it off for you.
Hi,
I've lost my locking wheel nut key and so cant take my wheels off if I get a puncture and the garages I have taken my car too cant get them off or dont want to as may damage wheel.
If I sign up to RAC or AA would they come out and take them off for me?? I rung them up but the sales team weren't very good and didn't really have a clue. They said they would have equipment to get them off but he didnt really no if they would come out just to do that if not a breakdown?
Anyone had experience of this???
Thanks
