Check fluid level first, the have it towed back to the shop that just did the brakes. You can easily check for leaks. In your driveway, turn the wheel hard left, pump the brakes a couple of times, turn off the motor and stick your head behind the tire and look around. Do the other side. Chances are very good that either a brake line gave out or a seal did.
Oh look. Some random moron is down thumbing everyone.
Before you go and have an accident, check the fluid. Chances are good that it's low, so just add some and pump the brakes a lot. Once your brakes seem more solid, check the fluid in a few days. If it's not down, there's no leak. If it's down, there's a leak.
Sounds like the line isn't connected all the way and that would just be squirting break fluid. Also if it is connected and you have all fluid in the reservoir then there could be air in your lines. And last but not least, it could be the master cylinder.
If the fluid is full, that usually means that you need a new master cylinder
Hey i got a 1997 honda accord. Today i was driving and was stopped at a red light. With my foot on the break pedal i noticed i slowly started moving and was freaking out. I then pressed harder
(Not aggressively) so i didn't hit the van in front of me, and the pedal basically goes all the way down to the floor and is really slow on stopping. I just got brand new brake pads and rotors. There also is a slight sound of air coming out on the front left tire, not the tire itself i checked. And when i press really hard on the breaks sometimes theres a loud pop. Oh and my ABS SIGNAL on the dash doesn't light up any more. Please help and give estimated repair costs if possible :(
PS: i did not check fluid and dont have the tools to check for a leak in the break lines and i dont know if its just air in my break line or what!the car works fine other then the slow stopping and abs doesnt show up. Help please
