Airplane sound coming from wheels?

ake it for a drive and try lane changes, if the noise changes when you swerve [carefully], from one lane to another chances are it's a wheel bearing

Yeah, wheel bearing is my first thought. Timbo is correct it could be sticking brake caliper

Make sure your lug nuts on every tire are securely fastened before your try to replace a wheel bearing.

Bad wheel bearing.

I am also thinking wheel bearing with the possibility of a sticking brake caliper

When I drive my GMC Jimmy, it sounds like an airplane taking off. It's a humming that gets louder as you pick up speed. It also goes away and gets lower as you reduce the speed. I don't think it's the transmission, because when you take your foot off the gas and pop it into Neutral, the sound doesn't change.
