A/C issues when car is stopped or parked?

So they put in a dye. When did you take it back for them to assess it and find the leak?

That is what the dye is for, and it is a fluoroscopic dye, YOU can't see it! Take it back, they will try and spot the leak, then take things from there.

You are again low on refrigerant (it's NOT "Freon" it is a different gas).

Sorry can't figure out how to edit to add info on my phone.

I have already taken it back thinking it was the freon and that wasn't it. They said it was still full and can't find any leaks

134 has to have a lot of air moving to cool right. If its full and both fans are running, take a garden hose and wash out the condenser and radiator for at least 30 minutes. Be careful not to bend the fins with water pressure. Sounds like radiator has reduced air flow because of bugs etc.

If the A/C specialists says that your levels of Freon are fine, we recommend bringing the vehicle to your local Kia dealership service department to see if any other component needs to be replaced. Good luck!

You are low on Freon again . Either learn to fill it yourself or get the leak fixed .

I have a 2008 kia spectra ex and live in san antonio, tx so we are pretty hot all year round.

Last month my a/c stopped working so I took it in and they said it had no freon. They filled it and put a dye to find the leak. Works great as long as I'm driving and will even work in park if I rev it up a little for a few minutes.

If I'm driving too slow (parking lot, traffic, etc.), in park or just stopped with my foot on the brake it blows warm air.

They said my condenser is great and working, when I look under the hood I see 2 fans running. I don't have the money to pay for another diagnosis then a ton on labor/parts.

Any ideas?
